I have had many problems in my Life….but my lips don’t know that- They always Smile…

“ My husband and I used to work in a factory making military uniforms; in Kashmir; which is our home and had a comfortable life till we had to flee, twenty years back; leaving all our precious belongings and came to Delhi to Lal Kuan. Restarting life with 2 small boys, their education, growing up needs, and subsequent marriage was not easy but we managed everything doing all sorts of odd jobs. I have always needed to work so that family income could be supplemented Two years back at the age of 60; I wanted to buy my own home so took a loan… and luckily at that time got to work in Aasra Shiksha Samiti; to make biodegradable sanitary napkins. Initially I used to feel ashamed to tell people where I work; as it is considered shameful to mention this taboo subject… but now my daughter in law also works along with me. Today I have great pride in my work and discuss openly various aspects of menstrual hygiene I am fully empowered ”
